I developed a passion for cooking as a child watching my mom cook at her restaurant. Food has always been a big part of my life as it is to many people. I struggled to find my place in a competitive culinary field after graduating and found myself setting for any job. It wasn’t before long I headed straight into a sedentary lifestyle.
I became overworked and stressed after working in the financial world for about 17 years. I was not eating right and gained about 30 pounds. I knew I needed to change my lifestyle and my career choice. Throughout this challenging time, my desire to cook professionally never left my heart.
Ever since I was young, I always maintained my weight by eating well and being physically active. I knew how to eat right and how to exercise, but this time it was more difficult to take the weight off and get back into shape. I needed to learn how to deal with my emotions and the environment around me. I realized I needed to do some research and dig a little deeper within myself to figure out what I really wanted to do with my life.
I enrolled in the Institute for Integrated Nutrition where I received my health coach training in more than 100 dietary theories and studied a variety of lifestyle coaching methods which helped me get back on track.
Today, I am a certified health coach and drawing from my own experience. I help people create a completely personalized "roadmap" to health that suits their unique and personal health goals by using practical lifestyle coaching methods to guide you in discovering which approach works best for you.
